Cooling off at the mall

When you are on the 16th day in a row of over 100 degrees it's very very nice to have a mall
with an amazing children's play area.....

the kids played for about an hour on all of the slides

the floor is about 10 inches of soft foam padding

so many things to play with

the mountain was Rohnin's favorite to climb and slide down.

Everything looks like a hard plastic but it's actually a soft rubber material - so even if they fall on it they don't get hurt

My boy was exhausted after an hour of running and jumping....making mommy very happy

What's Wrong With Brother........

I believe the facial expressions of both kids says it all........

Despicable Me 2 - Hope Kids

Haven is part of this organization called Hope Kids.  It's for children with cancer or other life-threatening diseases.  It gives the kids a chance to get out and enjoy life without obstacles.  The best part is we can all go as a family.  This event was the movies.  I decided to bring Rohnin to see how she could handle her first movie.

She did amazing.  We can now confirm that Rohnin will sit through an entire 2 hour movie with a box of popcorn.  :)  She had a great time as did Haven.  The movie theater was packed.  I believe there were over 550 people in the theater.

We had an amazing time and the movie was very funny.  Definitely liked it better than the first one.

The 4th of July

We had an amazing time at Grandma and Grandpa's for the 4th of July.  Not to mention mom and dad got to go on a date and see World War Z!!!!!

The drive is always an adventure....but there is a petting zoo along the way that allows the kids to get out and stretch.

Weston got to sit facing forward for the first time in his life.  At first he was a bit a nervous but it was so much easier on mom!

While we were at the movies we received a text from the girls.......

Time for fireworks.  Grandpa went out and bought some fireworks for the kids to have fun with.....(kids being dad and grandpa!)  :)  Haven even got out there with a Extra Large California Candle

Miss Rohnin enjoyed the sparklers with grandpa's help.  She was glued to his side the entire evening.

99% of the gang...it's hard to keep the collection in one location for a picture! ;)

It was a great weekend.  We got to visit one of the hottest places in the US!  It was 103 at midnight!!!!! The babies had a blast and I'm pretty sure Grandma and Grandpa did too!

Fair and Parade

While we have no idea why there was a carnival in our back yard or why there was a full 1 1/2 hour parade this past weekend....but we had lots of fun!  Even if it was insanely hot!

 My girls at the carnival

Checking out the princess booth - Miss Rohnin becoming her sister daily......

At the princess booth - getting their nails done

 Miss Haven getting nails done.....

The next day we had the parade - which was on the street behind our house.  The girls really had a blast.....we left Stone and Daddy in the background in the shade.  The girls ran out in to the street waving and collecting candy all morning.

Haven with her flag.  The parade was pretty cool.  Lots of companies in the city we didn't know existed...especially dance companies.  Haven has been looking in to dancing....she really wants to get in to ballet.  I see her more as a jazz girl.  But we'll see what we find.

No sleep weekend

Well it started with Weston having to go back to the doctor on Friday for his diaper rash which is being caused by the latest round of antibiotics for the ear infection. Neither of my girls have ever had ear infections.  The rash is so bad it's causing him to be raw and bleeding.  So now he has 2 creams, probiotics, and antibiotics.

Then the doctor here in Utah realized that Connecticut never gave Weston his shots - since 2 months old.  So we are now working on getting him caught up.  We did 4 shots (which are filled with multiple virus things - I don't even know what all we gave him).  The Tetanus shot was the worst as it made it hard for him to walk all weekend.  If he slept then it would stiffen up.  He also went through a few bouts of high temps.  He will do another round of these shots in 3 weeks and then another round 3 weeks after that.  By the time he is 18 months old he should be completely caught up.  Thank God for numbing cream - I use it on them for all the shots and they don't feel them.

By today (Monday) he is doing much better.

Here are a few happy photos of the weekend.........Grandma and Grandpa in Virginia sent him some money for his birthday and Haven and I did the best shopping we could.  The kids love love love the presents.....

Hong Kong - 2013

Just some photos from my last trip to Hong Kong in March.  Honestly it never changes - they are constantly building and they build higher and higher.  I'm not sure there is much land left to build on.  I really like Hong Kong - one of my favorite international cities.

Some areas are not so great....

This is the primary school.....look how huge it is.  I was shocked!

The buildings always amaze me at how high they are and so complex

Just jam packed....
