No sleep weekend

Well it started with Weston having to go back to the doctor on Friday for his diaper rash which is being caused by the latest round of antibiotics for the ear infection. Neither of my girls have ever had ear infections.  The rash is so bad it's causing him to be raw and bleeding.  So now he has 2 creams, probiotics, and antibiotics.

Then the doctor here in Utah realized that Connecticut never gave Weston his shots - since 2 months old.  So we are now working on getting him caught up.  We did 4 shots (which are filled with multiple virus things - I don't even know what all we gave him).  The Tetanus shot was the worst as it made it hard for him to walk all weekend.  If he slept then it would stiffen up.  He also went through a few bouts of high temps.  He will do another round of these shots in 3 weeks and then another round 3 weeks after that.  By the time he is 18 months old he should be completely caught up.  Thank God for numbing cream - I use it on them for all the shots and they don't feel them.

By today (Monday) he is doing much better.

Here are a few happy photos of the weekend.........Grandma and Grandpa in Virginia sent him some money for his birthday and Haven and I did the best shopping we could.  The kids love love love the presents.....

Hong Kong - 2013

Just some photos from my last trip to Hong Kong in March.  Honestly it never changes - they are constantly building and they build higher and higher.  I'm not sure there is much land left to build on.  I really like Hong Kong - one of my favorite international cities.

Some areas are not so great....

This is the primary school.....look how huge it is.  I was shocked!

The buildings always amaze me at how high they are and so complex

Just jam packed....

Fathers Day and Weston turns 1

We had a most amazing weekend.  We celebrated Father's Day and Weston's birthday Sunday.  I was so excited that he was actually turning one on Father's Day.  Best present for daddy.  Since everyone except the babies is on a sugar free low carb lifestyle we picked up a low carb no sugar cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory.

We then made our own whip cream - sugar free and carb free.

Thankyou to Grandpa Simon for the recipe.  I'm still a bit nervous to do the cheesecake myself - but I at least figured out the whip cream.  The girls had fun licking the mixing tools.

While dad was out enjoying his day on Saturday we took advantage of the time by heading to Wal-mart.  They were having a cake decorating party and Haven was able to pick out a cake for her brother and decorate it herself.

Haven's beautiful cake for her brother.

Preparing for cake....Weston has no clue!

Since Haven and I decorated his room in Angry Birds we decided to do the same for his birthday.

OMG....I just love him.  Haven wanted to celebrate at the exact time Weston was cake was served at 7:37am!

Weston with Rohnin.....these two had a ball chasing each other and burning off the sugar!

Weston and his big sister Haven.  He was certainly spoiled yesterday.

Can you believe two desert rats moved their children to Connecticut??? Neither can I - but we did.  Here are a few fun photos from this past winter --- I think we had 2 or 3 blizzards.  Can't really remember.

Beautiful drive to the house

Babies hanging out with Grandma one of the times they visited

Love these photos of the kids all playing together.  House is on 21 acres so I never have to worry about anyone coming up the drive.  The driveway is about 1/4 mile long.  Look at Weston way back there.

My boy was so tired after playing with daddy's RC cars that he slept with one of the tires.

Desert Living - St. George

Hard to believe that just a year ago we were living in the desert in St. George, Utah.  It's crazy to think about now because if we were still there we'd be cookin!  It's sooooo damn hot there.  Even though we lived in the mountains (just outside St. George) it was still crazy hot.

We had a lot of fun running around the desert though!

The old house.......
